New Artistic Director Needed – Opportunity with the Sudbury Chamber Singers

With Jeff Wiseman’s retirement from the Chamber Singers, we are looking for a new Artistic Director to conduct and lead the choir.  Please spread the word and see the attached posting. Deadline May 31, 2015.

To see us in action, prospective applicants can join us for our 2015 Spring concerts, Wednesday, May 13th at 7:00 pm at the Church of Epiphany in Sudbury, or Thursday, May 14th at 7:30 in Espanola at the United Church.

Join us at our special 40th Anniversay Concert May 13th!

Come join us at this special anniversary concert, celebrating our favourite pieces of the last 40 years. It will also be conductor Jeff Wiseman’s final concert with the Chamber Singers, after ten years of wonderful music. We have invited past members to join us so we’ll have an even stronger voice than usual to make our performance of Rutter’s Requiem all the more powerful. We’ve also added a great mix of folk, spirituals and Canadian Classics. Special guest artists include Soprano Leah Perreault, Cellist Dick Van Raadshooven and Pianist Nigel Robins.

Tickets are $15 and available at Fromagerie Elgin or from your local Chamber Singers choir member.

Join us for the Sudbury Chamber Singers “Schubert in Spring” concert on Wednesday May 7 at 7 pm at the Church of the Epiphany in downtown Sudbury. Featuring Schubert’s last and best-loved Mass (E-flat Major) as well as a beautiful variety of spirituals, folk, and popular tunes such as Down to the River to Pray, Blackbird, and Waltzing Matilda.

Christmas Concert 2013 – Wassail! December 15th

Come on out and Wassail with us at the Sudbury Chamber Singers exciting Christmas concert 2013, on December 15th, 2 pm at the Church of the Epiphany in downtown Sudbury. Featuring a rousing mix of Christmas gospel and spirituals, jazz classics, favourite fun carols, and tender lullabies.
