The Sudbury Chamber Singers present their annual Spring concert: “Mozart, Haydn and Friends”

Come join us for a night of music by Mozart, Haydn and a few others, on Wednesday, May 16th at 7:00 pm (Church of the Epiphany – 85 Larch St.).   Along with our director, Susan Urquhart and pianist/organist, Matt Kallio, special guest artists include Dr. Charlene Briggs (piano), Dante Mullin Santone (baritone) and Pamela Teed (soprano). Introducing Our New Director: Susan Urquhart

The Chamber Singers are pleased to introduce their new director for the the 2017/2018 season Susan Urquhart.

Susan comes to us with an extensive musical background.  She is a part-time music teacher at Cambrian College where she teaches both voice and violin.  She is also a past member of the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra.  Susan performs regularly in Sudbury as both a vocalist and violinist.

Susan has performed with opera companies, choirs and orchestras throughout Ontario.  During her studies at Queen’s University, Susan performed extensively in Eastern Ontario as both a violinist and vocal soloist.  Susan has worked under the baton of Dr. Duane Bates, Brian Jackson, Dr. Jamie Arrowsmith, Victor Sawa and Melonie Leonard.

She holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance and a Licentiate of Music with a specialty in Performance, both from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

“What Sweeter Music: Stories of Christmas”

Our annual Christmas Concert will be held December 13, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of the Epiphany.  Tickets are $15 (children 12 and under are free), and are available at The Fromagerie Elgin, Jett Landry Music, from individual choir members or at the door the day of the concert.  Along with accompanist Iona Reed, we welcome special guest Rachel Gibson on flute.

Come join us on a musical journey through the story of Christmas.
